Galvanized steel coil——Hardness and Soft Material

Galvanized steel coil——Hardness and Soft Material

Definition of Hardness:

Hot-rolled steel coil as raw material, continuous cold rolling is carried out after pickling to remove oxide scale, and the finished product is a hard-rolled coil (hard steel plate). The toughness-plastic index decreases, so the stamping performance will deteriorate, and HRC can only use parts with simple deformation. Because it has no anneal, its hardness is very high (more than HRB85), and its machinability is extremely poor. Only simple directional bending of fewer than 90 degrees (perpendicular to the coiling direction) can be performed.

Definition of Soft Material:

In short, a piece of the billet is heated after being refined for several passes and then trimmed and corrected into a steel plate. It is called hot rolling ( soft steel). Its hardness is around HRB65.
