All Kind of tests for Prepainted Galvanized Steel Sheet

  1. Substrate test

The substrate’s thickness, hardness, and surface condition should be checked before production.

  2. Paint film thickness test

The paint film is an essential indicator of the quality of Prepainted Galvanized Steel Sheet. Therefore, we need to test whether the paint film thickness of each roll meets the standard.

  3. Cupping test

The cupping test evaluates the resistance of coatings of paints, varnishes and related products to cracking or separation from metal substrates after gradual deformation under standard conditions.

  4. MEK wipe test

It is mainly used to determine the quality of coating curing and the evaluation of resistance to organic solvents in the Prepainted Galvanized Steel Sheet production process.

  5. T bending test

The purpose of the bending test of the coating is to detect the flexibility of the film layer. It is one of the essential items to evaluate the physical properties of the PPGI steel sheet by measuring the anti-cracking or peeling ability of the coating when the sample is bent.

  6. Hardness testing

The hardness test is one of the important indicators for testing material properties, and it is also one of the fastest and most economical testing methods. In addition, it can become a standard method for mechanical property testing because hardness testing can reflect the differences in chemical composition, structure, and processing technology of materials.

  7. Glossy Test

The glossy test uses a gloss instrument to measure whether the product can reach the specified gloss according to customer requirements. According to the gloss of the surface of the Prepainted Galvalume Steel Sheet, it can be divided into high-gloss, ordinary, and matte. A gloss instrument generally measures the gloss of Prepainted Galvalume Steel Sheet.

Highlights generally refer to glossiness greater than or equal to 75.

Ordinary gloss generally means that the gloss is greater than 40 and less than 75.

The glossiness of the matte color-coated board is less than or equal to 40.
