PPGI Steel Coil–Mechanism of coating curing and film formation

The curing and film-forming of the coating for PPGI Steel Coil refer to the process in which the coating applied to the surface of the substrate is converted from a liquid state to an amorphous solid film, also called the curing or the drying of the coating. The curing and film-forming of coatings is a complex physical or physical-chemical process. According to the different film-forming mechanisms, it can be divided into solvent volatilization film-forming, condensation reaction film-forming, oxidative polymerization film-forming, latex condensation film-forming, and other methods. For different coating systems, the film-forming method may be a single or a comprehensive embodiment of several or even all of the above-mentioned film-forming mechanisms.

There are generally two kinds of film-forming mechanisms of coatings: one is the physical mechanism, and the other is the chemical mechanism.
