Inspection of mechanical properties of Hot dipped galvanized steel coil
-
Pull test. The yield limit, tensile strength, and elongation of hot dipped galvanized steel coil were determined experimentally.
-
Cupping experiment. Deep-drawing properties of galvanized steel sheets were determined using an Erickson testing machine.
-
Adhesion performance test of zinc layer of hot dipped galvanized steel coil. The purpose of hot-dip galvanizing is to form a protective layer with good corrosion resistance on the steel plate, so the adhesion performance of the galvanized layer is an essential indicator of the hot-dip galvanized steel. Therefore, the test pull evaluates the toughness of the galvanized layer and the adhesion performance of the galvanized layer.
-
Folding experiment. For hot dipped galvanized steel coil with a thickness of less than 2.5mm, use a hyperbolic universal folding testing machine to conduct folding experiments, observe the folded samples in a specific direction, and make judgments based on the results.
-
Ball punch test. The ball impact test was conducted on a compressed air forging ball testing machine. According to different plate thicknesses, determine the number of impacts and the diameter of the impact ball, and test three points along the two sides and the middle of the strip width.
-
Bend test. When the thickness of the Hot dipped galvanized steel coil exceeds 2.5mm, the folding test method is not used.
-
Determination of the thickness of the galvanized layer. The thickness control of the galvanized layer determines its service life. Therefore, it is necessary to accurately measure the quality of the galvanized steel sheet’s galvanized layer. After sampling, measurement is performed. There are usually the following methods. 1. Chemical method. 2. Magnetic measurement method. 3. Electrochemical dissolution method.
